Hey there! My name is Matthew and I have been a Texas local for 27 years, and counting. I grew up in the Ft. Worth area, from elementary school through high school. After graduating high school, I went to pursue a degree in Communication Studies, earning my degree from Texas Christian University. Go Frogs!
While in college, I earned my personal training certification and have not looked back since. Fitness has always been a passion and a priority in my life, especially going through and overcoming injuries throughout competitive sports. I remember coming home after school at 11 years old and spending 2-3 hours a day in our gym just experimenting with workouts and exercises. When I was grounded, I was never grounded from video games; I was grounded from exercising… you can laugh. Currently, encouraging and motivating others is what brings me joy and purpose, and I plan to continue motivating others as long as I have breath.
“Life is a storm. One day you will be basking in the sun, and be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes.” – The Count of Monte Cristo
WHAT MAKES ME BLUSH:
Receiving surprise gifts makes me blush… a lot. I am a terrible gift receiver. Also, being in the spotlight. Being publicly noticed is not my cup of tea. I love to work hard and not expect praise for it.
MY BEST FITNESS TIP:
The best fitness tip I can give anyone is know that your body is uniquely YOURS and any type of goal to change your body takes time. Be patient. You are perfectly in progress.
